The P&C is here to actively support the school and help achieve the best educational outcomes by:

  • providing more teaching and learning resources
  • improving the facilities and school environment
  • promoting the welfare of all students
  • strengthening the partnership between family and school

You can read more about what we do in the about us section.

Our P&C has an important job to do. We would love you to be a part of it and becoming a member is free.

Our meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month, in the school hall meeting room at 7:00pm.

Clover Hill P&C Association is a place where all are welcome, and all make a difference.

About Us

Our Meetings

We meet the fourth Tuesday of every month but it is best to check the latest minutes for confirmation as sometimes the date has to change due to holidays or special events.

Where and When: the school hall meeting room from 7pm. Nibbles and drinks are provided so come any time from 6:30pm if you are feeling social.

If you like to keep up with the latest goings on at school, have great ideas for fundraisers or just want to help in any way you can please come along.

Purpose

Our purpose is to help Clover Hill State School achieve the best educational outcomes for our children.

In the past we have donated thousands of dollars to the school for new music instruments, resources for the science and maths programs and additional classroom resources.

We work closely with the Principal to consult and advise on ways to improve our school, for the benefit of our children’s education and well-being.

Importantly, we promote parent participation and involvement in school life, which enriches us all and makes Clover Hill State School such a positive place to teach, learn and grow. By engaging in the seminars, volunteering opportunities and social activities at school parents build a real home-school partnership that research shows is so valuable to our children’s education.

Membership

Membership is free and open to all parents, caregivers and members of the community. All you need to do is complete this form and bring it to any monthly meeting, we will also have the forms available to complete at our monthly meeting.

Fundraising

At Clover Hill State School we are lucky to have a great community interested in having a direct effect on the resources and experiences we offer our children and fundraising plays a big part in achieving this.

Why do we need to fundraise?

Although government funds cover the bulk of expenses - such as staff wages, curriculum resourcing, facilities, ICT provisions and utilities - they don’t stretch to things like class sets of iPads, adequate grounds maintenance and extra learning spaces.

To cover these resources, our P&C asks parents to help out through donations and fundraising.

So how can I help?

There are plenty of opportunities for you to help throughout the year, starting with our fundraising events. (Subject to change in each calendar year).

Term 1: Fun Run, Easter Raffle

Term 2: Mother’s Day Stall, Silver Coin Challenge

Term 3: Father’s Day Stall, School Disco, Trivia Night

Term 4: Trunk or Treat, Outdoor Movie Night, Christmas Festivities

For each event, we need an Event Coordinator and also a team of willing helpers!  If you're the Event Coordinator, you'll receive a handover folder of information for your event, so you won’t be left scratching your head about what needs to be done.

Please email us at pandc@cloverhillss.eq.edu.au and let us know if you are keen to help out.

How much do we raise?

That depends in part on how many fundraisers our volunteers run each year, and how profitable they are. But fundraising is not just about events; we also raise money in other ways. For example, you are contributing when you purchase your entertainment books through us.Clover Hill State School also benefits from sponsorships and donations from local businesses and organisations.  By supporting them you are supporting Clover Hill!

Who decides how the money gets spent?

P&C members make this decision on the basis of proposals put forward by the Principal.  Another important reason to attend P&C meetings.

Thank you for your contribution, together we can do so much.
